Perspective
After you've drawn your basic oval of the face and where the facial features go, you must make sure they are lined up correctly. You need to draw the proper perspectives so the face looks balanced and real.
It helps if you use a ruler or straight edge to align the features.
I do t do this because I was trained to align it up on my own. I was taught that to use a ruler was cheating.
I say go ahead and cheat if it gets your face in proper alignment. No sense in "reinventing the wheel."
It's important ant that you leave these first foundation lines until you are ready to move onto shading.
